Net neutrality is a ragging topic in the past weeks especially in India as Airtel introduced a new platform "AirtelZero", where the users can access the partner websites without cost or at a reduced prices. Accessing a website or an app without any cost seems to a cool idea for the end users, but that's not entirely true. If you're wondering what net neutrality is, it's a ethic of making Internet, a level and equal platform for everyone, meaning access to all sites at same speed without any priority. Recently in India, telecom providers started "pay per app or site" plans, which is against the basic fabric of net neutrality. Google announces Android One

Google I/O developer conference, a two day event kicked off yesterday 9.30 PM IST. Sundar Pichai announced a new program called "Android One". Android One promises budget devices, a faster updates to the next version of android as like the Nexus and Google Play Edition Smartphones.  Under this program, the manufacturers can tie up with Google for direct software updates, while maintaining the reference design and specifications provided by Google. Now this is important, a reference hardware is necessary to optimise the software. For now he announced that the program will kick off in India with three homegrown manufacturers - Micromax, Karbonn, Spice, we hope will expand to other regions as well.
